NICHOLAS C. PONZINI received his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Economics and a minor in Psychology from Rutgers University in 2003 and his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School in 2006, graduating cum laude.
Mr. Ponzini provides expertise in a number of legal practice areas, including corporate dealings, commercial transactions, internal investigations, wills, trusts, and estate matters, corporate tax, and probate administration and litigation. Some of his experience includes the structuring of business entities with tax and legal considerations; crafting of partnership and shareholder agreements; civil litigation relating to partnership/shareholder disputes; business litigation; contract disputes; tax planning & compliance for corporations, partnership, estates & individuals. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Ponzini was an associate and partner in a tax and accounting practice, where he had prepared numerous partnership, corporate, estate, trust, and personal tax returns; researched various tax regulations and IRS codes in the disposition of complex tax dilemmas; assisted in the rendering of tax opinions for multi-million dollar corporations; and proposed strategic business structures for tax mitigation.
Mr. Ponzini has represented taxpayers before Treasury Department; Internal Revenue Service; NJ Division of Taxation; and NJ Department of Labor. Mr. Ponzini is admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey; Federal District of New Jersey; United States Tax Court.
